Context
One sea container ship emits more CO2 than all Dutch cars together. The world’s 16 largest ships produce as much emissions as all the cars in the world. 80% of all goods are shipped overseas. Reduction of fuel consumption in sea transport will substantially contribute to reduction of the global CO2 emissions. Wind instead of fuel and renewed sailing are possible solutions.
